International Women’s Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality.
The campaign theme for International Women’s Day 2021 is #ChooseToChallenge. A challenged world is an alert world. And from challenge comes change. At Tegrete, we #ChooseToChallenge.
Teresa Carlson, majority shareholder and CEO of Tegrete (formerly Carlson Building Services) headquartered in Saint Michael, Minnesota, currently oversees delivery of integrated facility management services to thousands of clients across the US. With annual revenue over $21M, Tegrete was recognized as the 15th largest women-owned business in the Twin Cities, according to the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal, September 25, 2020.
When Teresa, along with her husband David Carlson, started a janitorial company in 1993, they never anticipated it would evolve into the company it is today. Through their principles of hard work, honesty, and dedication to clients’ ever-changing needs, Tegrete has flourished and expanded nationally.
After nearly 30 years in business, Teresa spends her time leading Tegrete through the highs of expansion and client acquisition and retention, along with the lows including COVID-19 and its impact on clients, service providers and employees.
When asked how Tegrete has remained successful through the decades, Teresa says, “It’s all about being flexible and adapting to the needs of our clients, while harnessing the power of others. We surround ourselves with intelligent, creative and committed people.”
In honor of Teresa Carlson, Tegrete he has made a donation to Dress for Success. Dress for Success empowers women across the globe to achieve economic independence via a network of support, professional attire, and tools to help them thrive in work and life.
